Willie B Ware

Willie B. Ware was born on August 11, 1940 in Jamaica Queens, NY to the late Ephesian B. Ware and Odell Quattlebaum Ware. He departed this life on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport, CT.

Willie was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and attended North Carolina A&T College. He served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1966. He worked for General Electric Credit Corporation for 33 years. After retiring, Willie was an active member of Success Village and served on the Board of Directors, the Nominating Committee, and Chairman of the Parking Committee. He was affectionately knows as the ‘Mayor of Success Village.’ Willie was also an active member of VFW.

Left to cherish his memory are his Ex-wife, Yvonne War of Ansonia, CT, and four children: Keith Ware of East Hampton, CT, Yvette Morris (Frank) of Newport News, VA, Rodney Ware and Kimberly Ware of Bridgeport, CT. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Emma-lee Doshia Ware, Jaquea Ware, Reynnah Ware, Raquelle Ware, Mackenzie Morris, and a host of other relatives and friends.
