Vernice Scott, daughter of the Mardia and the late Willie Jones, peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on December 21, 2024.

Vernice was born on July 23, 1950, in Malden, Missouri.  She relocated to South Carolina and later married Eddie Lee Scott who preceded her in passing.

Vernice was also preceded in passing by her father Willie Jones; two sons Terry Jones and Jerome Jones and Brother Billy Joe Jones.

Those left to cherish the life that they spent with Vernice include five daughters, Tikashia (Narvell) Larry, Loretta (Tony) Ruth, Pamela (Brett) Williamson, Mardia (Trenton) Green, and Angela Jones; Her mother Mardia Ree Jones; Nine sisters, Norma Jean (Bobby) Jones, Katheryn (John) Fobbs both of Malden MO, Sandra Kay (Willie) Harris of St. Louis MO, Vivian (Curtis) Ruffin Tiny (Tim Bo) Mosby, Jeannette King, Barbara Walton, and Stacey (Tyler) Price all of Toledo Ohio; Three Brothers Brian (Tracey) Jones, Bruce (Charlotte) Jones and Barry Jones, and a hoist of nieces, Nephews, grands, great grandchildren, friends and extended family
