Ruth Ilene Felder

Ruth Ilene Felder Simmons was born February 20th 1939 to Franklin Dosborn Taylor and Margurite Thelma Taylor. She gained her wings on November 25, 2021.

 She was the ninth of fifteen siblings. She attended school at Jeremiah E. Burke High School and graduated from Boston University, she also attended O.I.C. for computer training, all in Boston Mass. She met and married the love of her life Robbie Jackson Felder Sr. to this union were born four sons; Robbie Jr., Alvin, Edward and Jeffrey. She worked many jobs over the years: Fuller Brush Co., Ratheon Co., Gillette Safety Razor, Codman Square Medical Center, just to name a few. Auntie Ruth as she was endearingly called by so much of her family, loved to take care of children. She raised many foster kids over the years; Adele F. Brown-Perkins (now deceased), Thomas and Kimberly Jemison-Russell, Joshua and that’s just to name a few, she adopted Canaris, and Darius Simmons. On December 18th, 2018, she succumbed to a long battle with emphysema.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Robbie Jackson Felder Sr., her six children, Robbie Jackson Felder Jr., Alvin David Felder Sr., Edward Riceton Felder, Jeffrey Lawrence Felder, Canaris Simmons and Darius Simmons. Two grandchildren, Alvin David Felder Jr. (‘US A’F’), Terence Lamar Felder. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. A host of foster children; Adele F. Brown-Perkins (now deceased), Thomas and Kimberly Jemison-Russell, Joshua just to name a few. Two brothers; Kenneth Edward Miller Taylor and Robert Henry Taylor (Sticks) (Diane), one sister; Rose Marie Grace Taylor-Clark (Nathan). Preceding her death is Franklin D. Taylor, Margurite T. Shephard-Taylor, Mildred Marcella Wyatt, Caroline Taylor, Lucinda Taylor, Margurite Taylor-Brown (Peter), Francis Deloris Taylor-Slade (Allen), Franklin Dosborn Taylor Jr., George Raymond Taylor, William Thomas Taylor, Morris Curtis Taylor, Louise Taylor, Lucile Taylor.
