Ronda Sampson Obituary

Ronda L. Sampson, daughter of the late Ronald Franklin and the late Betty L. Pontoo, was born September 22, 1966, in Patterson, New Jersey.  She departed this life on January 22, 2024.

In the year 1982, along with her family, they moved to Wagener, South Carolina.  She currently resided in Atlanta, Georgia for seven years.

Ronda graduated from Wagener-Salley High School in 1985.  For several years she was employed at Wagener Manufacturing in Wagener, South Carolina.  She later became a CNA and a Home Nurse.  She was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church in Springfield, South Carolina.

Ronda was a loving mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed traveling.  She was no stranger to any person she met, and she was the life of the party.  In 1993, Ronda Married Norris Sampson and to this union two children were born.

Ronda was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Shakimma Pontoo.

Ronda is survived by her husband Norris Sampson: daughters Jennifer Pontoo and Edie Pontoo; brothers Randall Pontoo, kelvin (Dedra) Pontoo, and Ronald Franklin; sisters Rosalyn Pontoo, Renee Pontoo, Veronica Franklin, and Rebecca Frankin; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Sampson, and Delores Sampson; seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
