Oscar Daniel Stroman, Jr, the son of the late Oscar Daniel Stroman, Sr. and the late Dorothy (Doris) McKie Stroman, was born on February 10, 1951 in Salley, South Carolina.

At age 73, Oscar passed away peacefully on May 19, 2024 at Lexington Medical Center.

Oscar lived a life guided by integrity and discipline. His stern demeanor reflected his deep commitment to his beliefs and values. He approached every challenge with determination, never faltering in the face of adversity. His resolute nature inspired respect and admiration in all who knew him. In other words, he said what he meant and meant what he said. In the hearts of his loved ones, Oscar (aka "Jr.") will forever be remembered as a beacon of strength and love. Though he may no longer walk among us, his legacy of integrity, discipline, and affection will continue to illuminate our lives.

Oscar attended Aiken County Public Schools and was a proud graduate of the Class of 1971 of A.L. Corbett High School, Wagener, South Carolina. After high school he began his career at Owens Corning Fiberglass as a dolpher from 1971 through 1973, Graniteville Company as a maintenance operator from 1973 through 1979 and Kimberly Clark Corporation from 1979-2020. Oscar was a member of Samaria Baptist Church, Salley, South Carolina where he served faithfully.

Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of over forty years, Sallie Ann Landy Stroman, one son Oscar Daniel Stroman III, his beloved sisters, Frances Carolyn Stroman Brown, Darlean Stroman Landy and Jessie Mae Stroman Waymyers, and his beloved brother Kenneth Heyward Mckie, He was also preceded in death by, a great aunt, Dollie D. Merchant, two aunts Nellie Thompson and Henretta Bell and one Uncle Herman Mckie. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Oscar leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 11 years, Janet L. Stroman, Blythewood, South Carolina; two beautiful daughters, Tamika Antrice Carr, Lexington, South Carolina; Brittany S. Hutcherson, Blythewood, South Carolina; four handsome sons, Scott Fitzerald Stroman (Fiancé: Keneshia Chavon McCray), North Augusta, South Carolina; Frankie Cornelius Stroman, North Augusta, South Carolina; Evelton Londale (Shanaja) Stroman, Atlanta Georgia and Dondale E. Stroman, New York; eighteen amazing grandchildren, Hannah Nevaeh Stroman, Cordell Stroman, Jordin Stroman, Kadee Stroman, Allannaha Renee Stroman, Nicholas Mortrise Gordon, Javel Dillon Michah Stroman, Aubrey Stroman, Jewel London Stroman,Lauryn Kellie Stroman, Matthew A.
