Olden Adams Jr. was born on March 8, 1943 in Lexington County, SC to the late Olden "Kank" Sr and Rosie Staley Adams. He was educated in Batesburg-Leesville Public Schools. Those proceeded him in death one son, Michael Adams; three brothers Thomas, JQ, and Stevenson Adams, four sisters Geneva Marc, Viola Adams, Annie Brown and Verda McCrae. He moved to Washington, D.C. as a young adult, where he met and married his wife, Minnie Pearl.

Olden leaves behind to cherish the memories of his life, his wife, Minnie Pearl Adams; one son Tony Adams; two brothers Wilbert(Jean) Adams and Benjamin(Elousie) Adams; two sisters, Evelyn, and Dorris Adams; many nieces, nephews, cousins other family members and friends
