Mitchell Ray “Redd” Spencer, son of the late Thomas Spencer Jr. and the late Reverend Eliza H. Spencer was born April 24, 1962 and moved on from this life on February 6, 2020.
Mitchell was a graduate of Bowman High School, class of 1980, in Wadesboro, NC.
Mitch was raised in the church and loved listening to his mother, the late Reverend Eliza Spencer preach along with gospel music. Mitch loved the Lord and carried his faith in his heart always. He also loved his fast motorcycles and the Dallas Cowboys. Mitch was also extremely dedicated to his six grandkids who loved their “Pop Pop” dearly.
Michell is survived by his sons, Omar DeRay Spencer of Columbia, SC, Michael Ray Spencer of Lexington, SC, one daughter Sade Alexis Rae Spencer of Colorado Springs, CO, six grandchildren, Amariah Spencer, Omari Spencer, Kabryn Spencer, and Jordan Spencer all of Columbia, SC. Ethan Spencer and Evan Spencer of Colorado Springs, CO, 2 daughters-in-law, Fatema Spencer of Columbia, SC and Sundie Spencer of Colorado Springs, CO, siblings, Lawrence and Joanne Spencer, Larry (Lyen) Spencer, Lowery, and Yvonne Spencer, Pam Spencer and Thomasina Little. A devoted niece, Quennetta Thomas of Charlotte, NC, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A wife of 25 years and friend for life, Cynthia Spencer of Lexington, SC. A special friend, Virginia Higgin Botham of Lexington, SC. A man who he considered his uncle, Mr. David Greene of Lexington, SC
