Mr. Lee Vince Steadman Sr., an amazing devoted father who served humanity without any reservations entered into eternal life on Sunday, August 22, 2021. As the loving son of the late Henry E. and Earlean Tyler Steadman, Sr he was married to the late Jorie Daniels Steadman, his devoted wife for 42 years and a loving father, brother, neighbor, and friend.
Lee accepted Christ as his Savior. He joined Chalk Hill Baptist Church in Wagener, SC at a young age and served as the 2nd oldest continuous member. After moving to Columbia, he regularly attended 1st, 3rd, and Revival Services. His support grew to him developing a Back To School Supply Drive because he did not want children to attend school without supplies while obtaining an education. His caring for others continued even after he graduated from AL Corbett High School with an outstanding school bus driver record, industrial mechanical studies scholarships, licensed barber, and protective services within The United States Army during the Korean War. He shared his newly found musical talents of the guitar within the barracks.
His strong problem solving and leadership skills afforded him several management, accounting, and trainer positions from Guinyard Brick to Global Springs Industry for over 25 years. Lee received numerous certificates, awards, and memberships into national textile machinery technicians after graduating from Sulzer Ruti Academy.
He was active in his community through the House District 73 Development Council, Farrow Terrace-Farrow Hills Community, and the Greenview Senior Citizens Club. Organic fruits and produce were shared throughout the community from his garden because he wanted wellness for all.
Mr. Lee Vince Steadman, Sr. leaves his children to continue his work: LaVerne Steadman, Lee Vince Steadman, Jr, and Melita Williams-adoptive daughter; brothers/sisters, Mrs. Henry Peggy Pue, Reverend Eugene F. (Betty) Steadman, Mr. Glasco (Mary) Steadman, Mr. Henry (Peggy) Steadman III, Mrs. Eartha (Clarence Sr.) James, Mr. Thomas (Cathy) Steadman, and (deceased) Mr. Sammie (Eurlee) Steadman; brother/sisters-in-law, Ms. Agnes Daniels, Ms. Burnell Daniels, (deceased) James (Ruth W.)
