Kessler Laron Gunter (Joe) was born April 24, 1972. On April 4, 2022, Kessler’s family surrounded him with love and prayer as they said goodbye. He became a member of Bibleway Church Wagener at a young age. Early in life he discovered a natural talent for cutting hair. After graduating from Wagener-Salley High School in 1990, he went on to attend Denmark Technical College. He perfected his skills and graduated as a Master Barber in 1992. During his time in Gunter’s barbershop, there was always laughter and fun. Many look back and remember him as the one who gave them their first haircut.
He was loving and lived life with an open-heart willing to help others. He loved animals, especially dogs. Kessler was a devoted, loyal friend and created friendships that lasted a lifetime. His most treasured friendship began the day he was born. He would never say mama but called her “My Mama”. They were inseparable in life.
