Donna Scott Obituary

Deaconess Donna Renee Hamilton Scott was born 62 years ago on January 14th 1959 in Washington DC. She was the daughter of the late Oscar Hamilton Jr. and Debbie Rose Guyton Hamilton.

At an early age, Donna accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior while attending New Bethany Baptist Church in Washington DC.

Donna departed this life on Saturday February 06, 2021 while in her home in New Holland, South Carolina.

Donna attended the Washington DC and Prince George's County public school systems. She graduated from Parkdale Senior High Schools in 1978 where she won the prestigious honor of being Crowned "Homecoming Queen".

Donna attended the historically HBC University Morgan State University in Baltimore Maryland where she pursued her degree in music. After leaving Morgan State University Donna got accepted into Strayer University where she completed her Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree and Master of Business Administration, and all with high honors. She continued her education after graduate school where she was accepted into Walden University to pursue her Doctoral degree in Public policy.

Donna work in the "private sector" state of  Maryland,  and the United States government. She retired at 25 years of working for the internal revenue service (IRS). 

Donna was awarded resolutions, proclamations, and many Awards for being a hard and dedicated worker during her career. Donna was a bundle of joy, laughter, and love. She was such a "Beautiful Spirit".  She loves helping others and being kind to people. Donna was always putting others first. She reflected the love of Christ wherever she would go. She enjoyed going back into the work force at the Wagner/Sally High School where she worked as a registrar in the guidance department. She developed a sisterhood and brotherhood with community of the staff at Wagner-Salley High School, Wagener, SC. 

Donna was a woman of faith, she love attending the Baughmanville Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorial leadership of Reverand Otis Kitchings, Pastor.  She loved to sing in the choir, she was a constant reader  Of God's word The Holy Bible. One of her favorite bible scriptures was the 23rd song. She always smiled and never complained. She had a heart for pets and children. Donna love gospel music, modelling and watching movies. Donna grandparents the late Walter Bunk Guyton Jr.  and Rosie Lee Frazier Guyton were her mentors, inspiration, and the Love of her Life who taught her Christian values and helped raised her. 

Before relocating back to Aiken, South Carolina Donna married her childhood's friend Reverend NoVail Orlando Supernova Scott on September 16, 2000 at the Highland Park Baptist Church, Capital Heights Maryland. Through her life on earth had departed, she will forever be in the hearts of those who knew and loves her. 

 Donna leaves to cherish her husband the Reverand NoVail Orlando Supernova Scott, who she loved unconditionally. Two sisters Tempie Hamilton Desai, Hyattsville MD; Dana Thompson (Harvey),  Upper Marlboro, MD, brother Harold (Chick) Hamilton,  Washington, DC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
