Mrs. Claretha “Tee-Tee” Williams, daughter of the late Willie E. and Rosa Lee Tyler, was born on Friday, January 10, 1947. On Monday, November 15, 2021, almighty God reached out His hand of love to claim His own.
Anyone who knew Claretha, knew that she loved a good laugh, her family, and friends. She was educated in the Richland County Public Schools system and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Columbia, SC.
Claretha gave her heart and life to the Lord at an early age and served Him faithfully at William Street Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend James Jeffcoat. While attending, she served on the Junior and Senior Choir. Later in life, she joined the Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Perry, SC. There she served on the usher board. Claretha also was a member of a lead bowling team, softball team and loved driving her Harley-Davidson.
Mrs. Williams leaves to cherish her precious memories: son, Edward (Shanique) Moses of North, SC; daughter, Kimberly Lytes of North, SC; two sisters, Mary Ann Tyler of North, SC and Frankie (Kenneth) House of Columbia, SC; two brothers, Wilmer Tyler and Joseph Tyler, both of Buffalo, NY; two god children, Michael Johnson of Sanford, NC, and Lincoln (Jordon) Johnson of Columbia, SC. She also leaves six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
