Arthur Lee Staley, also affectionately known as "Bubba," peacefully passed away on November 9, 2023, at the age of 72 in Aiken, South Carolina. Born on December 1, 1950, in Aiken County, Arthur was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

Arthur's journey began in Aiken County, where he received his education in the Aiken County Public Schools. He later attended Wagener Salley High School, where he cultivated his knowledge and skills.

Arthur Married the love of his life Elaine Staley on February 2, 1980, and to this union they were blessed to raise 7 children.

Arthur had a natural talent for mechanics and became a self-taught mechanic. He dedicated his career to fixing and maintaining various vehicles, leaving a lasting impact on those who sought his expertise.

Outside of his work, Arthur found solace in his faith. He worshipped at the Kingdom Hall Jehovah of Witnesses, where he found spiritual guidance and support.

In his free time, Arthur enjoyed two of his favorite hobbies: gardening and fishing. He had a green thumb and took pride in his beautiful garden, which brought joy and tranquility to his life. Arthur also loved spending time by the water, casting his fishing line and immersing himself in the peacefulness of nature.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorene Staley, his father, Earnest Lee Staley, his son, Paul Carter, his brothers, Louis (Bobby Joe) Staley, Matthew Landy, Walter Williams, Leroy Williams, and James Williams, and his sister, Louise McCollough. Additionally, Arthur was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law George Edward Dorch and Curtis Wayne Nicholas.

Arthur will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Elaine D. Staley, and his children: Teresa Johnson, Pamela Abney, Davonjia Davis-Maxey, Kimberly (Marcus) Lewis, Demeatric (Tonya) Otts, and Devan Perry. He is survived by his cherished sisters: Brunett (Henry) Peterson, Deloris Salley, Patricia Tyler, Rosetta Brown, Lucinda Landy, Wanda Tyler, Sugar Williams, Lavenia Williams, and Eartha Robinson. Arthur's memory will also be treasured by his brothers: Chester (Patricia) Williams, Melvin Williams, Jasper (Retha Mae) Williams, and Willie Ray Williams. He is further survived by his sisters-in-law: Willie Mae (Joseph) Nicholas and Chenequa (Cynthia) Nicholas, and brothers-in-law: James (Marion) Otts, Rubin (Gail) Nicholas, Ronnie (Renee) Nicholas, Lonnie Nicholas, and Jerry Don Nicholas. Arthur’s special friends, Ronique Rauch, Benjamin Rauch, and Serena Moore held a special place in his heart.

Arthur leaves behind a beautiful legacy in his 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Arthur Lee Staley will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit, his dedication to his craft, and his love for his family. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
