Andrew Morgan, affectionately known as “Brother” was born on December 16, 1935 to the Late Coleman and Sallie Mae Morgan. He transitioned peacefully on December 26, 2019 while at the Aiken County Medical Center.
Andrew accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Jerusalem Branch Baptist Church, Salley, SC, serving as an usher and trustee. While living in Indiana for a number of years, he became an associate member of First Baptist Church, Gary, Indiana, where he served on the usher board. He was also affiliated with the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Williston, SC, where he served while living with his sister there.
Andrew was an exemplary Christian and will be remembered for his dedication and being an effectual fervent prayer warrior anytime and anywhere. Many persons have expressed how blessed they were when he would pray for them while visiting them in their homes or in the hospital.
His love for God and his family and friends was unlimited.
Along with his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by his brother, David, and sister Annie Ruth Smith.
Those left to cherish his memories are his sisters; Mary Etta Eve, Camden Arkansas, Helen E. (William) Scales, Gary Indiana, Thelma J. Coutee, Decatur GA, and Dr. Lavenia Sapp, Williston SC; One Brother, Johnny J. Morgan, Decatur GA; many nieces, nephews, and other friends and relatives, including a very dear friend, sister Lavera Smith of Gary, Indiana.
