Woodrow Evans Jr., son of the late Woodrow Evans Sr., and the late Katherine Ginyard Evans Chandler, was born on February 20, 1950, and transitioned to his heavenly home on February 19, 2024.

Woodrow Jr. was born in Aiken County, South Carolina, where he spent much of his life.

He was educated in the schools of Aiken County, South Carolina, and afterwards worked in the same area.  During his lifetime Woodrow worked under various construction contracts to include carpentry, crane operator and highway and local road maintenance.

Woodrow was married to Rosa May Landy, and this union they were blessed with a son, Woodrow LaRon Evans and beloved stepson Anthony Jennoris Landy who preceded him in passing.

Woodrow Evans was a devoted father and man who had many skills and enjoyed life to the fullest. A lovable person that will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Woodrow was preceded in passing by his parents, stepson, and Brother Billy Ray Evans.

Those who shared the joys of life with him and now cherish his memories are his son, Woodrow LaRon Evans (Dorcus) ; brothers, Sgt. Jackie Evans (Lori), Daniel Evans (Tara), Jimmie Evans, Bobby L. Evans, Mark Evans (Lani); sisters, Dorothy E. Ponton; Janice Potter (Richard), and Margaret Evans; a sister in law Brenda Evans, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
