Willie James Wooden, Sr. was born on June 14, 1972 to Connie Wooden and Eddie Lee Wooden in Aiken County, SC. He transitioned peacefully on July 11, 2025

He was affectionately known as "Power". Willie attended Wagener-Salley High School. He took up the trade of Forklifting along with Culinary Arts. He was employed by Aspire Bakeries in Cayce, SC as a Forklift Operator. At an early age, Willie joined Rosa Hill Baptist Church. He loved singing on the church choir.

Willie loved serving good food to the community from his food truck. He was an absolute joy to be around.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Corine Wooden; one brother, Kenny Wooden; grandparents, Curtis and Alwillie Wooden and Chester and Victoria Green.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are his children: two sons, Willie Wooden, Jr. and Patrick Wooden both of Neeses, SC; one daughter, Hylie Corley of Aiken, SC; three bonus kids. Cytara Corley, Breanna Fogle an Qwataysha Morgan; five grandchildren; one sister, Iris (Greg) Smith of Springfield, SC; two brothers, Bruce Green of Gaston, SC and Bryne (Manicilla) Garvin of Kannapolis, NC; six aunts, five uncles, two great aunts along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, a special cousin Janice Johnson and his lifelong Love Pearlyet Corley.
