Obituary

On October 27th, 2015 the Lord in his infinite wisdom called His servant home. The journey began for Willie, affectionately known as "Big Shot" on October 7th, 1951 when he was born to the late Lonnie and Massie Swedenburg Jones, Jr. Willie was educated in the Aiken County School System, graduating high school in 1969. "Big Shot" was the proud long-time coach of the Red Hill Raiders. He also coached little league and Dixie Youth Baseball for many years, having the pleasure of coaching his son and several nephews. Willie was preceded in death by the Late Thelma Swedenburg, both his parents, and three Brothers, Solon, Lonnie, and James Swedenburg. Left to cherish his memories are his children; Willie Doral (Taunya) Swedenburg of Wagener, SC, Travis Jamal Swedenburg of Aiken, SC, Kelvin O'Brian Swedenburg of Wagener, SC and one daughter, Lashonda Renee Swedenburg of Wagener, SC; Three grandchildren, Jerel Dorez , Taunija Tarae Swedenburg and Madam Ma'Kaijah L. Walker. One brother, Percel (Peter) Swedenburg of Philadelphia, PA; Four sisters, Lela Mae Florence and Teacora Kent both of Philadelphia, PA, Minnie (Joseph) Golson and Vernease (Albert) Edwards all of Wagener. Service Information

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st, 2015 from 4:30pm until 7:00pm at the J.H. Robinson Funeral Home, 190 Railroad Ave W, Wagener, SC 29164. Church services will be held on Monday, November 2nd, 2015 at 2:00pm at Chalk Hill Baptist Church, 3419 New Holland Rd, Wagener, SC, and Reverend Ronnie Tyler will be presiding. Committal will be held at Smyrna Baptist Church, 1186 Smyrna Church Road, Springfield, SC. The repast will be held at Smyrna Baptist Church as well.
