Obituary

On Friday, March 9, 2018, Mr. Willie Nimmons answered God's call and went to his Heavenly home. Willie was the son of the late Will and Emley Posey Nimmons. He was born on November 18, 1940 in Aiken County. Mr. Willie was a 1958 graduate of A. L. Corbett High School in Wagener, SC. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving three years of active duty and thirty years in the Army Reserve. Willie also worked for J. B. Kendell Company as a truck driver while living in Washington, D.C.. After moving back to South Carolina he started working for Cardinal Truck Company as a truck driver. Willie was preceded in death by two sisters: Vangie Lee and Artistine Nimmons; two brothers: James Nimmons and Alphonsa Nimmons. Mr. Willie Nimmons leaves to cherish his memory, one step daughter: Crystal Burrell-Braddy (James) of Whiteville, NC, one sister: Mary N. Isaac of Aiken, SC, one sister-in-law: Fannie Nimmons of Washington, DC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and two special nieces Helen and La-Kendra Nimmons of Salley, SC, whom he always called on.

Service Information

VISITATION: The family of Mr. Willie Nimmons will be receiving friends and well wishers on Wednesday, March 14 at the J. H. Robinson Funeral Home of Wagener, SC during the hours of 3-7 PM. FUNERAL: The funeral services for Mr. Willie Nimmons will take place Thursday, March 15 at the J. H. Robinson Funeral Home Chapel, 190 Railroad Avenue West Wagener, SC, starting at 1:00 PM. INTERMENT: A private interment will be held Friday, March 16, at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery of Columbia, SC.
