Ms. Virginia Neal entered into eternal rest on August 12, 2026. She was born on October

27, 1943, in Aiken County, South Carolina, to the late Johnnie Jennings and Louise

Jennings.

At an early age, Virginia moved to Washington, D.C., where she attended Snowville School.

During her years in Washington, she worked at the Pentagon, the Cathedral, and the

Church of the Past. She was also a part of history, having walked alongside Dr. Martin

Luther King Jr.

Later, Virginia returned to South Carolina, where she married Curtis Neal. She devoted

much of her life to caring for others. She lovingly cared for her parents while also working

as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), nanny, and interior decorator. Her compassionate

spirit and willingness to serve others touched the lives of many.

Virginia was a faithful member of Baughmanville Baptist Church, where she found joy in

singing with the Senior Choir. Her faith was an important part of her life, and her love for

her church family was evident to all who knew her.

To know Virginia was to love her. She played many roles throughout her life, but being a

mother and grandmother was her greatest joy and her most cherished role. She loved her

family deeply and leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, compassion, and treasured

memories

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Jennings and Louise Jennings; her

beloved husband, Curtis Neal; and her brother, Henery Danley.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her daughters, Phyllis (Ruben) Butler and

Janice Jennings; her special friend, Nathaniel Green; her special brother/cousin, Alonzo

Danley; her two grandchildren, Shaquanna Sapp and Shaquetta Sapp; four great-

grandchildren, Drekwon Davenport, Shanoria Davenport, Rae'mani Hooper, and Shimaud

Hooper; and three great-great-grandchildren, Messiah, Khalil, and lvanna Davenport.

She also leaves to cherish her memory her special daughters, Janice Simmons and

Shermaine Davis; her special sister, Elizabeth Barns; along with a host of loving nieces,

nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Virginia's life was a beautiful testament to love, faith, family, service, and perseverance.

Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever live in the hearts of those who

were blessed to know and love her.

"Forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered. Her love was gift, her memory a

treasure, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Ms. Virginia Neal will never be forgotten.
