Vincent "Shump" Schofield, son of the late Marion Abney, died on Thursday, May 28, 2020.

Vincent grew up in Wagener, SC, where he attended the Aiken County Public Schools and was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. He wed the late Bernadette Schofield and later moved to Washington, DC.

Vincent was preceded in death by his mother, grandmother Callie Mae Schofield, twin brother Wincent Schofield, sisters Darline, Eleanor, and Juanita Schofield.

Vincent leaves to cherish the memories of his life a sister Emma Staley; brother James (Loretta) Abney; step-daughter Kiona (Keith) Franklin; Special son Vincent Ginyard; Special grandson Vincent Ginyard Jr.; aunt Barbara (Calvin) Corley, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other family members and friends.
