Mrs. Stellouise Draft, daughter of the late Mr. Alaska Taylor and Mrs. Gussie Derrick Taylor Davis, was born in Lexington County, South Carolina, on March 2, 1926. She departed this life on July 30, 2013 at Agape Hospice in Columbia, SC.
She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and joined Spring Hill AME Church in Gilbert, SC.
She received her elementary and high school education in Lexington County Public Schools. She moved to New York and worked there until she retired and returned home. Stella loved her church and served faithfully in many ministries. She was a faithful member of the Church School, Stewardess Board, Class Leader, Lay Organization, Senior Choir, Women's Club, and Senior Citizens Ministry.
She was very passionate about the Women's Missionary Society serving in several positions. She was serving as Worship Director and was an active member of local, area, and conference levels of the WMS. Stella was honored at the 2011 Columbia District WMS Hall of Fame Banquet. She was also active in the community and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post #217.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving sister; Juanita (Ralph Iles, Sr.); a loving, caring, and supportive nephew, Vincent (Amanda) Taylor; One sister-in-law, Ida Mae Johnson, and a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, R.T. Draft; two sisters, Eva Smith and Naomi Taylor, and three brothers, William, George, and Jerry Taylor.

The family will be receiving friends to have a viewing for Stellouise Draft on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 2-7 PM at J.H. Robinson Funeral Home 701 Hendrix St, Lexington, SC. Funeral services will be August 3, 2013, 1 PM Spring Hill AME, 228 Windy Hill Ct, Gilbert, SC.
