Sandra J. Butler was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on August 11, 1965, to the late James and Burnice Walker Butler.

She was educated in the Bridgeport Public School System and graduated from Warren Harding High School in 1983. Upon graduation, Sandra enlisted in the United States Air Force and served our country for 20 years. She was a highly decorated officer and was honorably discharged. Sandra retired as an E6 TSGT.

She was currently employed at the Trumbull Marriot and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Stratford.

Sandra is survived by her daughter, Michele (Mark), sister Stephanie (Derrick), brother James (Margaret), nephew James Jr., nieces Ulisa and Janea, aunts, uncles, cousins and her best friend Glenda Workman-Carter (Tye).
