Mrs. Rosie Lee (Frazier) Guyton was born ninety-two years ago on June 7, 1921 in Aiken County (New Holland Community), South Carolina. She was the eldest daughter of the late Henderson and Hattie (Edward) Frazier. She departed this life peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 9:10 pm at her residence.
She was educated in the Aiken County Public Schools. At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her "Lord and Savior" at Baughmanville Baptist Church. She sung with the Little Builders Choir and attended Sunday school faithfully.
In her adult life, she married the late Walter "Bunk" Guyton, Jr. and to this union one daughter was born, the late Debbie Rose (Guyton) Hamilton (late Oscar Hamilton, Jr.( who preceded her in death).
Years later, Rosie Lee and her immediate family moved to Washington, DC where she found employment at the Washington National Cathedral, College of Preachers Seminary, as a cook and food technician. She joined the New Bethany Baptist Church in Washington, DC and became an active member. She sung with the Senior Choir and became a proud member of the Senior Deaconess Board and the Pastor's Aide Ministry.
After retirement, Rosie Lee and her husband, the late Walter "Bunk" Guyton, Jr. moved back to Aiken, South Carolina with great joy rejoined the Baughmanville Baptist Church family; there she became a faithful member of the Gospel Choir.
Although her "health began to change, Rosie Lee was a woman of great faith; she prayed daily; and, loved to read her Bible. she has a passion to sing to the Glory of God and she loved the LORD unconditionally. She was a loving, inspiring and caring woman. Rosie Lee never complained about her illness and always took the time to love and serve her family. One of her favorite Scripture is Psalm 23rd "The Lord is my shepherd: I shall not want." She loved to sing "Would you be a Witness for my Lord".
Rosie Lee was a caring, inspirational and loving person who never let go of her faith in GOD. She never complained and loved people. Her favorite quotes are:
● "Thank you ma'm"
● "Thank you sir"
● "Please"
● "God bless you"
● "To God be the Glory"
● "Keep up the good work"
● " A smile will take you a long way, so smile even when you don't feel like smiling"
A few of her cherished moments were:
● Interviewed by the Washington Post Newspaper regarding the reopening of the Wallard Hotel in Washington DC.
● Attending the funeral service at Fort Meyer Chapel, Arlington National Cemetery, in Arlington, VA honoring the "Brown Bomber" boxing legend Mr. Joe Louis.
Rosie Lee leaves to mourn a loving and devoted granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Donna Renee Hamilton (Reverend NoVail) Scott, Wagener, SC; a sister-in-law, Evetter (Late Deacon James) Frazier, Aiken, SC; many nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. She also had a devoted goddaughter, Lavern T. Jones; Aiken, SC will truly miss her dearly.

The Guyton family will be accepting friends and wellwishers on Saturday November 16, 2013 from 3 to 8 pm at the J.H. Robinson Funeral Home, 190 Railroad Ave., Wagener, SC 29164.
