Rosa Mae Johnson, daughter of the late Hubert and Arrie McCreary, was born on December 20, 1954 in Washington, DC.  She passed on April 23. 2025.

Rosa was a joyful, loving and kind person.  She loved  to laugh and dance while enjoying time with her family.  She was an energetic individual with a passion for helping others while feeding them.  She will be deeply missed by her family and friends and all who knew her kind spirit.

Rosa was a graduate of Parkdale High School in Riverdale, Maryland.  She later married William Johnson and was a devoted wife for 21 years, and a loving and caring mother to her children.  She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, good heart, and care for others.

Rosa was one of Jehovah witnesses who had deep love for Jehovah and took great pleasure in praising him daily. As a faithful servant she had hope in the scripture Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces" she lived happily knowing Jehovah keeps all of his promises and one in particular being the resurrection. In John 5:28 it tells us that "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice" and that is something we all are looking forward too. As she's sleeping in death may we continue to remember her for her faithful dedication in service to Jehovah.

Rosa was preceded in passing by her parents and brother Hubert McCreary Jr.

Rosa leaves to cherish the loving memories of the life they spent to gether includes her children April McCreary, Robert Eugene Thomas Jr, Tarkisha M. Jones; Step-children De'Shon Cannon and De'Von Johnson; Sisters Bertha Ann Brown, Rovenia Redd, T'Wanda McCreary, Evetta Worthen and Sadie Smith; Brother James McCreary; Eleven grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
