Rosa Lee Harrison Tyler was born on November 2, 1929 in Orangeburg County. She departed her earthly life to be with the Lord on June 1, 2015. At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and became a member of the Hickory Hill Baptist Church. After moving to Columbia, SC she joined William Street Baptist Church. She was a member of the usher board and the usher board choir. In 1968 Rosa Tyler and Family moved to Buffalo, New York and joined the Miracle Mission Baptist Church and served on the Senior Choir until 1989. In 1989 she moved back to South Carolina and became a member of the Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until her health began to fail her. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the Late Willie Edward Tyler for 60 years. The marriage was blessed with four children, two sons, Wilmer Tyler of Buffalo, NY and Joseph Tyler of Dayton, NY and tow daughters, Claretha Williams and Mary Ann Tyler both of North, SC. Mrs. Rosa Tyler leaves to cherish her memory to her sons and daughters, 12 Grand Children, 30 Great-Grandchildren, 13 Great-Great Grandchildren. Presiding her in death was her beloved husband, Willie E. Tyler, three brothers and nine sisters.

Service Information

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6th, 2015 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at the J.H. Robinson Funeral Home. The Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Rosa Lee Harrison Tyler will be held on Sunday, June 7th, 2015 2:00pm at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 220 Center Street, Perry SC 29137. Reverend K.E. Waldo will be officiating and Reverend Wayne H. Abney will be assisting. We will have the church open for viewing at 1:00pm. Friends and family may call or visit the family at 1387 Ninety-Six Road, North, South Carolina.
