Deacon Roosevelt Rice Jr. was born on May 4, 1932.  He was the son of the late Roosevelt Sr. and Matilda Rice.

Roosevelt work for Savannah River Site for over 40 years, then retired.  At an early age Roosevelt Jr. accepted Jesus Christ as his savior.

On March 4, 2020, Roosevelt put his hands in God's hands and departed this life.

Roosevelt Jr. is predeceased by his wife Maggie Lieu Rice of 48 years, son Allen Lindsey Rice Sr.,  and sister Loise Ware.

Deacon Rice leaves to cherish the memories of his precious life three sons, Deacon Delbert Earl (Linda) Rice of Springfield, SC, Brentson (Brenda) Rice of Perry, SC, and Wentson (Joanne) Rice of Salley, SC; six grandchildren, Tameka Rice of Atlanta, Ga, Erica Rice of Wagener, SC, Brandy (Bruce) Washington of Columbia, SC, Bracey (LiQueta) Rice of Wagener, SC, Allen Lindsey Jr. and Tino Rice both of Colorado; eight great grands, Nyia Rice, Layla Yon, Sean Landy, Maggie Washington, Winter Washington, Zoe Smith, Haryn Rice, and Nomi Rice; one sister Elloree Mullins of Miami Fla; 1 sister-in-law Candis Dickerson of New Ellenton, SC; one brother in law Coolidge Ware of New York; one daughter in law Amalza Rice of North, SC; one very special Cousin Louise Chestanne of New York, and a host of nieces, nephews cousins other family members and friends.
