Celebrating The Life of Robert Corley Jr. Mr. Robert Corley Jr. peacefully fell in the loving arms of Jesus Sunday morning May 28, 2017 2:00am at his home, 604 South Dixie Road, Wagener SC. Robert was loved and admired by his smile and warm personality. Robert was born in Wagener, South Carolina on October 24, 1936. He was the son of the late Robert and Clara Corley Foster. He attended the Friendship Baptist Church and attended the Friendship Baptist School in Wagener where he received Christ as his personal savior. He later moved to Columbia, South Carolina where he was employed with the tile center and worked to start his career. He later was united in Holy Wedlock to Ms. Mattie Mae Kesler in 1960. This union was blessed with (14) fourteen children. Robert Corley was preceded in death by his wife Mattie Mae Corley, three sons; Robert Lee Corley, Edsel Preston Corley, Bruce Corley, five sisters; Lila Mae Patterson, Beatrice Johnson, Gladys Priester Quattlebown, Gartrude Ward, Lillior Corley, and one brother, Charles Corley. Robert Corley is survived by his four daughters; Rita Corley of Wagener SC, Sharan (Arthur) Boyce of Wagener SC, Wanda (Ezell) Brown of Wagener SC, and Octavia (Shawn) Kitchings of Aiken SC. Seven sons; Charles (Linda) Corley of Salley, SC, Stanley (Alice) Corley of Salley, Stonley (Betty) Corley of Salley SC, Eric (Pam) Corley of Wagener, Todd (Mozet) of Columbia SC, Mark (Ellen) Corley of Wagener SC, and Jabarrik (Sonya) Corley of Wagener SC. Three sisters; Pearl Jackson of Washington DC, Elizabeth (David) Smalls of Washington DC, Latisha Cue of Ridge Spring, SC. Five brothers; Longus Corley, Alvin (Vanetta) Corley of Wagener, Eugene Corley, Leon (Mary Frances) Corley, Calvin (Barbara) Corley of Columbia. He is also remembered by seven daughter-in-laws, eight son-in-laws, 3 sister-in-laws, 28 grandchildren and a host of great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many, many friends.

Service Information

Viewing and visitation with the family will be held at the J.H. Robinson Funeral Home, 190 Railroad Ave. W., Wagener, SC on Saturday June 3, 2017 from the hours of 11 AM and 7 PM, and on Sunday from 2 to 3 pm at Friendship Baptist Church, Salley SC Funeral Services for Mr. Robert Corley Jr. will be held at Friendship Baptist Church, 194 Green Acres Rd, Salley SC on Sunday, June 4 2017 at 3:00pm.
