Mr. Richard Chamberlain Ray was born on September 9, 1963, to the late Mr. Eugene Ray and the late Mrs. Rebecca Ashley Ray.  On Sunday, June 2, 2019, Mr. Richard Chamberlain Ray departed this life at the Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, SC.

Richard attended the public schools in Pelion, South Carolina.

Richard was proceeded in death by one brother, Von Middleton.

Richard leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters, Jannie Middleton of Pelion, South Carolina; Five Brothers, Eugene Ray of West Columbia, SC, Claude (Barbara) Ray Jr. of Pelion, SC, Nathaniel (Angie) Ray of Columbia, SC, Morris (Harriette) Ray of Pelion, SC, and Amos (Lorrine) Ray of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
