Phillip Darrell Lloyd of Washington Nursing Facility transitioned from this earthly domain on Monday, July 21, 2014 at the United Medical Center in Washington, District of Columbia. Phillip was the only son born to Phillip Alvin Lloyd and Anna Laura Lloyd Jackson on September 19, 1959 in Salley, SC. He attended the public school systems of Washington, DC and Wagener, SC. Phillip received a GED in South Carolina. He also received a certification in carpentry. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alvenia Lloyd Scarboro Williams, Carolyn Daniels and one stepbrother, Billy Jackson. Darrell is survived by many family members and friends to cherish the times of his life; one daughter, Yasman Jackson of Lexington, SC and two sons, Phillip Marquil Lloyd of Norfolk, VA and Sa'quawn D Lloyd of wagener, Sc; one grandson, Sinkerri Jackson and one granddaughter, Keiarre Jackson of Lexington, SC; his mother and stepfather, Anna L. (Robert) Jackson of Washington, DC; eleven sisters, Ruby A Lloyd, Juanita (Billy) Williams, Paulette (Trevor) McMillan, Donna C. James, Glyendia T Davis, Rita M Steele, Dena (Camilo) Richards, Connie D Jones, Sandra Prophet, Helen Patterson, Ellen Forrest; four brothers, William Patrick Ware, Billy Ware, Rickie Ware, and Phillip Ginyard. Two stepsisters, Edit (Fred) Johnson and Janice Dobbs; one stepbrother, Robert Gates; one godsister, Shawn S Williams, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Service Information

A service of love and memory of Phillip 'Unc' Darrell Lloyd was held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 12:00PM. The service took place at Jerusalem Branch Baptist Church located in Salley, South Carolina and was officiated by Reverend Camilo Richards.
