Paul Willie "Woggie" Davis was born on July 16, 1959 to the late Mr. Paul Willie and Mrs. Louise Davis Paul was educated in the Public Schools of Lexington County where he graduated from Lexington High School, Class of 1977. He was a fabulous football player, and was accepted and attended Newberry College in Newberry, South Carolina. Woogie was a master flooring specialist, that included carpeting, vinyl, tile and hardwood. He was employed with the Flight Deck Restaurant. After a brief fight of illness, the Lord, with open arms said "well fought, its time to come home." He escorted Woogie away from this life on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. God saw fit to call the "Woogie" to his heavenly home. Willie is preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents; his father, Paul Willie Davis, Sr; his brother, Joseph Bernard Davis, and many family members and loved ones. Paul leaves dedicated to his memories: A loving mother, Mrs Louise Davis, of Lexington, SC; two sisters, Jacqueline Davis of Lexington, SC and Beverly (Marvin) Dozier of Batesburg, SC; eight children, Christopher Dreher and Jory (Tikwa) Dreher, both of Harlem, NY, Nikia (Tolvey) Byrd, of Camden, SC, Malcom (Nicole) Davis, of West Columbia, SC, Trevor (Brandy) Stevens, of Columbia, SC, Antwan Davis , of Philadelphia, PA, Tobias Davis, of Lexington, SC and Jayme Melvin, of Columbia, SC. He leaves 15 grandchildren, all of which he was blessed to know. Woodie leaves Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Woodie also leaves a Special Friend, Joan Hurd, of Lexington, SC.

Service Information

Home going services for Mr. Paul Davis will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2:00 PM at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Lexington, SC. Viewing at the church will be available between the hours of 1 and 2 pm. The Davis family will be accepting friends at the J.H. Robinson Funeral Home, 701 Hendrix St. Lexington SC on Monday March 12th from 4-7PM.
