SERVICES Funeral Services for Marie D. Schofield will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2012, 2:00pm at the Sardis Missionary Baptist Church, 265 Walnut Street east, Salley, SC with the Reverend Jimmy Wise Officiating. Burial will immediately follow the homegoing services at the Christian Hill Cemetery in Salley, South Carolina. OBITUARY Marie Schofield, of 159 Aldrich Rd. SC Salley, SC died Monday, May 14, 2012 at Unihealth in Aiken SC. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Rosa Gaines Davis. Marie was born February 4,1931 in Aiken count, educated in the Aiken county public schools and joined the Sardis Baptist Church at an early age. She was later employed with Unisys Corporation. Marie was united in Holy matrimony to the late Lewis Schofield and to this union one child was born, Lewis Clary(Joyce) Schofield, Wilingboro, NJ. She leaves to cherish her loving memories her adopted children, Timothy Staley and Lisa Washington, a mother figure to Ella Mae Bynum and Mildred Schofield, her grandchildren Marie Schofield Thompson, Aiken, SC and De'Shonda T. Schofield, Salley, SC; three sisters, Carrie Garvin, Brooklyn, NY, Ollie Williams, Dalley, SC, Carrie Lou James, Charlotte, NC; one brother, Isiah (Burdie) Davis, Lower Marboro, MD, two aunts and a host of grandchildren ,nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Schofield family will be accepting visitors at the J.H. Robinson Funeral Home, 190 Railroad Ave., Wagener, South Carolina between the hours of 4PM and 7PM on Wednesday May 16, 2012.
