Michael Bethea also known as "Duck" departed his earthly life in Columbia SC on November 27, 2021, in the home of his loving caregiver sister Magnolia Info: he was born on October 9, 1954, in Charlotte, NC to the late mother Amelia Geiger and late father Walter Jr Young.

Michael graduated Highschool in Charlotte, NC and served in the Army for 4 years and then served in the Marines until he was discharged.

Michael preceded into death by his late parents, his late brother Allen Geiger. He was survived by 1 son Laron Baker of Charlotte NC, 3 grandchildren, 4 sisters Patricia Williams (Claude Williams) of Irmo SC, Debra Hallman (Frank Hallman) of Leesville SC, Theda Geiger of Lexington, SC and Magnolia Geiger Columbia SC a host of many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
