Martha Ellnor Branch Wilson was born to Elder Branch Jr. and Martha J. Johnson Branch on April 29, 1939 in Lexington County.
She attended Midway school, then attended Lexington Rosenwald High School. She graduated from The Overcoming Outreach School of Religion with an associate degree.
Martha joined Jones Chapel AME Church at an early age. While there she held many titles, including stewardess, Assistant church secretary, Sunday school teacher, pastor aide president, senior choir, ushers ministry leader, missionary society, and the President in Song With The Spirit Lytes Gospel Singers for 22 years.
After marriage to Mr. William Wilson, Martha joined Temple Zion Baptist Church. There she joined the senior Jubilee Choir and later became President. She also held such offices as a member of Sunday school, missionary, Deaconess, fellowship choir, pastor aide, and a food committee member. Later in life, Marth joined St. Paul Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wilson worked at Rikand nursing home for 15 years and Babcock Center as a social worker for 29 years before she retired.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law: Velma Cave, three brothers: Harvey Branch, J.D. Branch, and Roosevelt Branch; Husband: William Boy Wilson; two sons: Douglas Branch and Robert Wilson; two daughters: Varanda Wilson and Wanda Scott; one grandson: Stephen Wilson.
Martha is survived by her son, William (Holly) Wilson; Son-in-law Jessie Scott; two sisters, Mary Tucker and Bertha (Teddy) Johnson; sister-in-laws: Mildred Holly, Patsy Branch, Jessie Mae Davis, Louise Barfield; brother-in-laws: Nathaniel Wilson, Tommy (Annie) Wilson; granddaughters: Varanda Z. Wilson, Latoya Scott, Keona Scott, and Tina Corbett; and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.

VISITATION: The family of Martha E. Wilson will be receiving friends and well-wishers on Friday March 2 during the hours of 3-7 PM at the J. H. Robinson Funeral Home, 701 Hendrix Street Lexington, SC.
FUNERAL: The funeral services for Martha E. Wilson will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 3, at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, West Main Street Lexington, SC 29072. There will be a final public viewing one hour prior to services.
