On February 28, 2016, our Precious Lord extended His hand of compassion and love to claim His own. Realizing that the sufferings of this world could never compare to God's glory and grace that awaited her. She exited this life with comfort and peace. Ms. Marie "Molly" Williams Edwards departed this life at her residence in Aiken South Carolina, after an extended illness. She was born in Aiken County, South Carolina on December 18th, 1930, a daughter of the late Paul Edwards and Mamie Sue "Sis" Holmes Edwards. At an early age, she joined the Friendship Baptist Church, Salley, South Carolina. She was baptized into the church fellowship and became a faithful worker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mamie Edwards; two children, Audrey Jean Williams and Hyman Williams: as well as, her brothers and sisters. Ms. Edwards leaves to mourn her passing: one son, Alfred Clifton (Mary) Williams of Aiken, SC; three daughters; Mamie (Charles) Miller, Terry G. Williams both of Wagener, SC and Myra Williams (Michael) Lewis of Aiken, SC; One daughter-in-law, Geraldine Bussey Williams of Salley, SC; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, two special sons, Raymond Chandler of Wagener, SC and Thaddeus Reon of New Ellenton, SC; many other loving relatives and caring friends, all who will miss her dearly.

Service Information

Visitation will be held at the J.H. Robinson Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2016 from the hours of 5pm-7pm. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 3rd 2:00pm at Saron Baptist Church, 352 Railroad Ave. W, Wagener, SC, 29164. Public Viewing will be available one hour prior to service. Committal will be held at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery located on 194 Green Acres Rd, Salley, SC following the service. Family and friends may visit the families residence to offer there support and condolences
