On February 5th, 2016 at 6:00 in the evening, our almighty God extended his hand of compassion and called Janice into eternal peace. Realizing that the sufferings of this world could not compare to the glory that awaited her she exited gracefully.
Janice was born to Bertha L. and Frank Landy, Sr. on March 18th, 1964. She was educated in the Aiken County Public School System. Janice joined the Chalk Hill Baptist Church at an early age and remained a faithful member until her death.
Jan started her early years of employment with the Salley Manufacturing Co. and later worked for a Columbia manufacturing company for several years. She made a great contribution by offering a safe and comforting place for so many children; enabling their parents to work with the confidence that their children were well cared for. She was also the favorite Auntie of ALL her nieces and nephews.
Janice was joined in holy matrimony to Ferris James, Jr. on April 4, 1992. God allowed them to share many good times and special moments as they built their life together. Jan was a proud mother and grandmother as well as a caregiver to many. She found joy in helping others.
Janice was preceded in death by both parents, four brothers, Frank Jr., Alvin, Robert and Jerome Landy and one sister, Pearlean Davis.
