Ms. Margaret Elane Woods was born on April 17, 1957, in Charleston, SC.  She transitioned to her heavenly home on June 18, 2024, while surrounded by her family in Savannah, Ga.

Margaret was the daughter of the late Margaret Ware and granddaughter of the late Viola Grant.

Margaret relocated here to Salley, SC after spending many years in New York.  She has been part of the Community for 50 years, 40 of which she has had close ties to the Wagener Community.  Margaret was a member of the Church of Deliverance, where she served as a Choir Director.  She worked at Busbee Elementary and A.L. Corbett Middle School for over 30 years and has been involved in community events and fundraisers until her retirement in 2022.

Margaret was preceded in passing by her mother, Margaret Ware, and Grandmother Viola Grant.

Margaret leaves to cherish the memories of the life she lived 3 sons; Michael Woods, Matthew (Nicholas) Bishop-Woods, and Timothy (Whitney) Woods; Daughter Stephanie (Charlie) Aiesi; 2 brothers Darryl Grant and Kendal (Trini) Ware, and a host of other family members and friends.

Margaret would like to share how she would like to be remembered.

"I was happy and had a good life.  I put my children first and loved my family.  I was funny and crazy.  I loved the Lord."
