IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lula
Harris-Howard
June 3, 1930 – May 7, 2025
Lula Reain McKoy Harris - Howard was born on June 3, 1930, in Garland North Carolina to the late Jimmy McKoy and Lula Kerr McKoy. Lula departed her earthly life peacefully on the morning of May 7, 2025, in Lexington, South Carolina.
In her adolescent years, Lulu received her early education through Sampson County Public Schools.
Lula was joined in holy matrimony to James Harris, and from that union four children were born.
Lula accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and was Baptized under the leadership of the late Pastor Mary Walker of Galilee Holiness Church in North Carolina. As time went on, she established her membership at Evening Light Deliverance Church under the leadership of the late Pastor David McKoy Sr. of North Carolina.
Lula decided to relocate to Newark, New Jersey, where she then joined the Deliverance Church. She worked as a missionary and served on the usher board under the leadership of the late Pastor Mother Alice Lawrence. She was also instructed of God to support the Newark Evangelist Revival Outreach Team under Pastor Frank Garris where she spent many years doing the work of an Evangelist. Later on, in her walk with the Lord, she then served faithfully for many years under the Pastorship of the late Elder Terry Patrick, Good News Tabernacle, Newark, New Jersey.
Lula then enrolled in the Bowel's Bible Institution located in Roselle, New Jersey under the late Bishop C. Bowels. As a reward for her diligent work, the Lord began showing her deep visions to start a Hedge & Highway Challenge team in which she won many souls to Christ. God told her while being inspired by his presence to establish a prayer mission in her home. As the vision began to increase, she began organizing the Evening Light Deliverance Church where she was Founder and Pastor. In 1998 she began working with the International Prayer Band Union Inc. of Faith Temple Church, overseer the late Pastor Willie Howard.
I must work with the Lord of him that sent me while it is day: the night cometh, when not man work. St. John
