On Thursday evening September 12, 2024, around 6:30 pm at Aiken Regional Medical Center in Aiken, SC God extended his welcome hand and peacefully escorted Sis. Loretta Green Johnson away from this life. She was born January 13,1945 in Aiken County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Chester & Victoria Moore Green.

Early in life Loretta joined the Rosa Hill Baptist Church in Wagener, South Carolina. She attended the public schools in Aiken County. She worked at Wagener Manufacturing Co for 20+ years and was a caregiver for many years.

On April 24,1964 Loretta was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Johnny Lee Johnson and to this union three sons were born.

Preceded her in death, her loving husband, son Marvin Johnson, four sisters Clara Lewis, Gwendolyn Staley, Evelyn Green, Corine Wooden and one brother Oneal Green.

Loretta leaves to cherish her memories: two sons Richard Johnson of Aiken, SC, Alfred (Sheron) Johnson of Wagener, SC, seven grandchildren Shawkeyla Johnson of Charleston, Shanita Thomas of Neeses, SC, Richard Johnson Jr of Lexington, SC, Whitney (Tyron) Clemons, Jonquitta Johnson of Springfield, SC, Jayden Johnson and Kayden Johnson of Wagener, SC, 10 great grands, one brother Rev. James(JC) Green of Aiken, three sisters Bessie M. Staley, Lonnie M. (Delaney)Heyward and Lorvell (Doge) Wise all of Salley, SC, six sister in laws, three brothers in law and host of nieces and nephews.  A special friend Terrance (Bill) Bonaparte of Wagener SC.
