Lone Costello Gunter, 64, of Aiken, South Carolina, passed away on January 6, 2024, in Columbia, South Carolina.

Born on March 19, 1959, in Aiken, South Carolina, Lone was the beloved son of Lone McFadden Gunter and Lessie Mae Glover, both of whom preceded him in death.

After graduating from Wagener-Salley High School, Lone answered the call of duty and joined the army, proudly serving his country. His dedication to the military was a testament to his unwavering loyalty and commitment.

Lone will be deeply missed by his loving children, Lone C. Gunter Jr., Carstelina T Tate, Brittney Barnes, Chancellor M. Frazier, and Quentin A Barnes. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his sister, Patricia (Bernard) West. Additionally, he is survived by three nephews, a host of cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and longtime friends who will cherish his memory.
