Ms. Lillie Ruth Barnes took her place in Heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 14 2012. She departed this life peacefully at her home. Lillie, the fourth of eight children, born on February 18, 1957 to Elizabeth J. Barnes and the late James Barnes Sr. Lillie was preceded in death by her father, two siblings and a grandson. She attended DC Public Schools and graduated from Burdick Educational High School in 1976. While in high school, Lillie discovered her passion for hair. She became a licensed cosmetologist, specializing in creating hairstyles for her family, friends and clients. At an early age Lillie acknowledged the Lord Jesus Christ and joined Peace Baptist Church and served as the president of the usher board. She loved spending with her family and grandkids and watching the Redskins play ball.

VISITATION Visitation for Ms Lillie R. Barnes will be held at J.H. Robinson Funeral Home, 190 Railroad ave., Wagener, SC 29164 on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 between the hours of 5:00-7:00 p.m. FUNERAL SERVICES Funeral Services will be held at Chalk Hill Baptist Church, 3419 New Holland Road, Wagener, SC, on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 2:00p.m. The Reverend Ronnie Tyler will be presiding over services. INTERMENT Burial will be at Barr Cemetery.
