Larry D. Smith, son of the late Johnny Smith and the late Ella Mae Doms Smith, was born on October 6, 1953, and transitioned to his new home on October 14, 2022.

Larry graduated from the public schools of Aiken County and retired from the Aiken County Department of Sanitation.  At an early age, Larry joined Calidonia Missionary Baptist Church in Batesburg, SC, where he was a member of the Inspirational Choir.

Larry leaves to cherish the life that he lived, his children; Tywane (Kayla) Carroll, Tiwana Carroll, Richard Carroll, Latasha Carroll, Larry Carroll, Shaqueria Carroll, and Aaron Carroll; his mother Ruby James; his sisters Betty J. Smith, Pamela (Marlon) Hudson; his brothers, Jerome (Janice) Smith, Rickie (Janice) Smith, Roger (Ethel) Smith, Alonza (Geneva) Smith, David (Darlene) Smith, Jimmy (Belinda) Smith, Richard James, Donald James, Ronnie James and Homer James Jr.; Thirty Grandchildren, One Great-grandchild; his uncle Milledge Dorns Jr. , and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Graveside services for Mr. Larry Smith will be held on Saturday October 22, 1:00 pm at the Calidonia Baptist church cemetery.  The viewing will be held at the J.H. Robinson funeral home chapel from 2 to 6 pm on Friday October 21.
