Kathy Friday Davis was born November 15, 1960, to Wade Friday Sr. and Sylvia Johnson Friday. She was raised in the Red Hill Community around her five siblings. Kathy passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024.

Kathy grew up in Aiken County and was educated in the Aiken County Public School System. She was a proud graduate of Wagener Salley High School, Class of 1980.

At an early age, Kathy accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was baptized at her home church, Saron Baptist Church. Kathy was joined in holy matrimony to the late, Rev. William H. Davis. To this union, they were blessed with their only begotten son, Chantieous. Kathy was gifted with her hands, as she worked in various capacities, from the Sewing Room of Wagner as a seamstress, to Mattie C. Hall as an activity nurse, to the food service industry in 1992 at Shoney's of Aiken (until their closing), and concluded her work journey at Marco's Pizza of Orangeburg.

Kathy was a caregiver to all. She never turned anyone away from her kitchen or her home. Kathy always had her arms open to help others. She was an extraordinary cook; as she was known for her signature meal, smothered hamburger steaks in homemade gravy, green beans and mashed potatoes.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. William H. Davis; her youngest brother, Calvin Friday; and a special friend, Willie James Matthews.

Kathy leaves behind to celebrate her life, her only begotten son, Chanteious (Carl) Davis; her mother, Sylvia Johnson Friday; her father, Wade (Janice) Friday, Sr.; her brothers, Wade (Victoria) Friday, Jr., Sylvon (Pearl) Friday, Chanteious "Bernard" Friday, and Anthony (Linda) Friday; her sister, Saide (James) Darns; her loving and devoted niece, Shaquaina Friday; and two great nephews, Dominique Friday and Dakotah Friday; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, community friends and surrogate sons and daughters.
