Joyce M. Staley was the daughter of the late Thomas "Tom" and Mildred Staley.  She was educated by the Aiken County Public School and became a member of Smyrna Baptist Church as a child, and serve on the kitchen committee.  She entered into rest on December 29, 20020.

Joyce was a resident of Cayce, South Carolina living with her niece Claunette Chandler , but was originally from Wagener, South Carolina.  Those that knew her enjoyed her passion for cooking and lifting your spirits with the smile she carried on her face.  She also had a love for animals, especially dogs.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Catha Chandler, her brother Howard Staley, two uncles, and a niece.

Those who shared the joy of her life, and will now cherish her memory are her son Demetri (Jessica) Staley, two daughters Bryanna and Niaishia Staley; a sister Rose Staley; a brother Larry Stroman; two bonus daughters, Cassidy Chandler and Crissette Lewis; two uncles Hayes and Warren Staley; a cousin/sister Thresa Tyler; a close friend Inga Cannon, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
