On November 24th, 2020, Mr. John Thomas Moore Sr. was called home by our heavenly father while he was at the Lexington Medical Center.

Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the Gift of God."

On a very special day, May 3, 1933, John Thomas Moore Sr. was born to the late George and Alberta Moore in Edgefield, SC.  He attended Denmark Technical College which he obtained his barber license and tailoring certification.

On July 4, 1965 John married his beautiful wife Lillian Yvonne Franklin who preceded him in death to be with our Heavenly Father.

John was the owner of Moore's Cleaning Service, which he provided over 25 years of service to the Lexington county businesses and churches.  In addition, John was a member of the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Edgefield, SC and later became a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Lexington, SC.

Those left to cherish his memories are: his loving children – Nancy Barron of Stone Mountain, GA, Sheilia Moore, John Thomas Moore Jr, and Karen Moore all of Lexington, SC; one brother Warren Dozier; four Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

John was a man of strong faith who loved to sing.  He was hard working, caring, and loving to many.
