Jerutha Benjamin was born December 28, 1957, in Salley, South Carolina to the late Arthur

Benjamin, Sr. and Geneva Gantt Benjamin. She was the sixth child and her parents preceded her in death.

She was a long-term member of the Saron Baptist Church. Joined and baptized August 1964. She served as a member of Mass Choir and the Kitchen Ministry.

For her early education she attended the A.L. Corbett Elementary School and graduated from the Wagener-Salley High School. She furthered her education by attending Benedict College. She received a Bachelor Of Science Degree in Business Management.

Jerutha was employed for 21 years at Midland Technical College. She worked in the Finance Department and became Cashier Manager.

On July 22, 2024, she was called home to glory. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Niven MacArthur Benjamin and Daughter-In-Law Breanna: Grandchildren; Alayah Elizabeth Ann, Alannah Marie, Niven MacArthur, Jr., Genevieve Jiselle, Sophia Michelle:

Brothers and Sisters; Arthur Benjamin, Jr. (Valerie) of Hollis, N.Y., Eugene Benjamin (Rebecca) of Flushing, N.Y., Fransena Benjamin McCutheon (Artis ) of Lawton, Okla, James Benjamin (Barbara) of Beltsville, MD, Pastor Rubin H. Benjamin (Nancy) of Novi, MI, Aunt Evelyn Gantt Williams of Salley, SC; seven nieces and two nephews; a host of relatives and friends.

Jerutha dedicated her life to service, and she will be fondly remembered by all those who served and worked with her.
