Jeffrey Benjamin Tobin
Jeffrey Benjamin Tobin, 88, of Temple Hills, Maryland, departed this life on May 15, 2026. He was born on September 4 1937, in Neeses, South Carolina to Boyd Tobin and Liler Mae (Jackson) Tobin, both of whom preceded him in death.
Jeffrey was joined in holy matrimony to the late Vashti (Battle) Tobin in 1977. They shared many loving years together, until she preceded him in death. He was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, whose love for family was evident.
Jeffrey Benjamin Tobin was educated in the Aiken County Public School District school system at A. L. Corbett High School. He worked faithfully in construction and food service hospitality for many years. He enjoyed watching and cheering on his favorite sports teams, Jeffrey especially loved talking to younger generations about his upbringing in South Carolina. He vividly remembered every road, town, and landmark, always sharing stories that brought laughter, wisdom, and cherished memories to those around him. Jeffrey’s loving spirit, storytelling, wisdom, and dedication to family will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his three sisters: Gertrude Handy of Stone Mountain, Georgia; Randa Tobin of Wagener, South Carolina; and Shirley Milhouse of Wagener, South Carolina; and four brothers, Rudolph Tobin of Washington, D. C.; Harvey Isaac (Juanita) of Marietta, Georgia; Earl Tobin (Luemisher) of Wagener, South Carolina, and Melvin Tobin of Little Rock, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his youngest brother, Vincent Tobin of Wagener, South Carolina. Rest in Peace.
Jeffrey leaves to cherish his memories three sons: Benjamin Jeffery Tobin of Jacksonville, Florida; Frankie Dwayne Bunn of Washington D. C.; and Lewis Vaughn of the home; one daughter, Anita Tobin of Washington, D.C.; twelve grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
