James Earl Pontoo was the son of Betty Ann Pontoo and the late Felest Pontoo, Sr. He was born on July 3, 1964 in Aiken, SC. James went to be with Lord on Saturday, August 18, 2018. James Earl Pontoo was a graduated of Wagener-Salley High School, class of 1982. He became a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. James is preceded in death by his father Felest Pontoo, Sr. and his brother Felest Pontoo, Jr. Those left to cherish his precious memories are his mother Betty Ann Pontoo of Aiken, SC; three sons James Pontoo, Gregory Pontoo, and Shane Pontoo; three daughters Keosha Pontoo, Keyana Pontoo, Kewane Pontoo; ten grandchildren; two sisters Fannie Pontoo of Aiken, SC and Kelia (Ronald) Ginyard of Wagener, SC; one brother David Middleton of Columbia, SC; aunts Johnnie Mae (Charles) Staley of Wagener, SC and Fonda (Calvin) Staley of Aiken, SC; uncles John Lewis Kitchings and Willie Kitchings both of Wagener, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
