James Stanley Chestnut, son of the late Willie and Rosa Lee Chestnut, was born on July 18, 1946, in Boiling Springs, SC.  He passed on June 27, 2024.

James was previously from Leesville, SC, but has been in the Wagener Community for the last 24 years.  During this time, he attended Saron Baptist Church.

James was a carpenter by trade and drove tractor trailers for the Gantt Trucking Company.

James was preceded in passing by his parents, wife Bobbi C. Chestnut, and sister Marguerite Chestnut.

James leaves to cherish the memories of his life 2 sons, James Chestnut Jr., Texas, and Tony Chestnut of South Carolina; 3 daughters Erica Chestnut of PA, and Teresa Corbitt and Linda D. Corbitt Charley, both from South Carolina; 2 brothers Henry W. Chestnut and Jimmy Haltiwanger both from South Carolina; 3 sisters Minerva Gray, Rosa Thomas and Jocephus Chestnut all from South Carolina, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
