Ms. Jacqueline Mayes entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. She was born on October 29, 1970 in Pelion, SC to Sarah Bell and the late Nehemiah Jimmy Mayes.

Jacqueline graduated from Pelion High School. At an early age, She joined the Chapel Hill Baptist Church where she faithfully served until she was called to her Heavenly home. Jacqueline was employed by Home Health Care for many years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Jacqueline Mayes was preceded in death by her father, Nehemiah Jimmy Mayes; sister, Peggy James; grandmother, Corine Danley English; grandfather, Matt Danley; uncle, James Derrick, nieces, Trinity Burgess and Zyann Mayes.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are her mother, Sarah (Richard) Bell; son, James Mayes; daughter, Emily Mayes; brother Nehemiah Jimmy Mayes, II; sisters, Carolyn Mayes (James Curtis) Carter, Wilhelmia Mayes; three grandchildren, Amelia, Alvin and John Butler; aunts, Florine (Tommy) Pough, Pauline Jackson; uncles, Robert (Barbara) Danley and Noah (Catherine) Hutto; special friend, Tiny Lane, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
