A Time To Be Born...
Isabell Barnes, the youngest of eight children was born September 30, 1962 to Elizabeth J. Barnes and the late James Barnes, Sr. in Washington, District of Columbia.
A Time To Live...
At an early age, Isabell was baptized and joined Peace Baptist Church in Washington and later moved her letter to Chalk Hill Baptist Church where she served as the Vice President on the Inspirational Choir. She received her high school diploma from Wagener-Salley High School in 1980. She worked for many years at the Wagener and Salley Manufacturing.
A Time To Love...
One week after revival, August 1979, Isabell met Duane "Jody" Davenport. Over time they began dating and married June 30, 1992. To the union three children, Quentina, Antonio, and Duane Jr were born. Isabell was a very loving and caring person, a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and loyal friend.
A Time To Depart...
Isabell took her place with the Father on Thursday, October 17, 2013.

Mrs. Isabell B. Davenport leaves those who shared the joys of life with her and now cherish her loving memories: her husband of the home, Duane E. Davenport, Sr.; mother, Elizabeth J. Barnes, Wagener, SC; daughter, Quentina (Leonard) Howell, Wagener, SC; sons, Antonio Davenport, Columbus, GA and Duane E. Davenport, Jr., Wagener, SC; four brothers, Donnie Smith, James Barnes Jr., Gradie (Annie) Barnes, and Willie Barnes, all of Wagener, SC; one sister, Andrea Holland, Washington, DC; father-in-law, Ozell (Dorothy) Davenport, Wagener, SC; three sisters-in-law, Gwen (Melvin) Ginyard, Sabrina Davenport, and Deborah Davenport, all of Wagener, SC; two brothers-in-law, Troy Davenport, Kershaw, SC and Lone Gunter, Wagener, SC; three grandchildren, Zykeria and Honest Howell, Wagener, SC and Aerihanna Davenport, Columbus, GA; five god children, CaPaul James, Sr, Columbia, SC, Brittney Barnes, Riverforest, IL, Nakontae Williams, Wagener, SC, CaPaul Jr. and Camya James, Hopskinville, KY; two special friends, Deborah Tyler and Lillian Davis.
Those preceded her in death are as follows: father, James Barnes, Sr.; mother-in-law, Rosa Davenport; one brother, Jasper Smith; one brother-in-law, Glen Davenport, and two sisters, Gwendolyn Smith and Lillie Ruth Barnes.
Isabell had a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that love and will miss her dearly.
Service Information
The Davenport family will be accepting friends at the J. H. Robinson Funeral Home, 190 Railroad Ave, Wagener, SC on Wednesday October 24, 2013 from 3:00 pm till 8:00pm. Final viewing will be held at Chalk Hill Baptist Church from 2 to 3pm.
Funeral services will be held at Chalk Hill Baptist Church on Thursday October 25, 2013 at 3:00pm.
