Helen La-Verne Nimmons was born on March 1, 1953 to the late Artistine H. Nimmons and Gonzolas Pontoo. Helen graduated from Wagener Salley High School in 1972 and was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. Helen transitioned peacefully on January 5, 2020.

Helen was employed at Wagener Manufactory for 15 years. She then went to Hubbell Power System where she was employed for 27 years until her retirement in April.

Helen was a loving mother and Daughter. She loved the Lord and traveling. She was also a Girl Scout leader for 12 years to troop 077 where she served faithfully. She was also vice president of Thompson Family Reunion and member of Harmonys Singles Club.

Helen is survived by her daughter Aramita La-Kendra Nimmons of the home, Two aunts: Mary N. Isaac of Aiken, SC, and Fannie Nimmons of Maryland, One godson: Khristopher Ulmer, one godbrother: Sidney Grey, and one godsister: Vicks Davis all of Aiken, SC.  She also leaves behind to cherish her memories a host of cousins and friends.
